The Director, Data Management & Analytics performs key responsibilities in the areas of strategic data governance, data systems management, team leadership and performance, management of security and backup systems, budget management and investment requests, technology exploration and adoption, audit and assessment, and IT leadership. The Director, Data Management & Analytics develops and implements data governance policies and procedures, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow across systems. This position provides leadership and oversight for the design, development and coordination of data systems, while overseeing data warehouses, data stores and business intelligence systems. This role also evaluates existing data architecture designs & integrations to identify improvement opportunities and develop mitigation strategies to optimize and improve performance.
Director, Data Management & Analytics Required Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience in IT and business/industry with accompanying experience leading Data Management organization.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, SQL, CPA, CIPP, DECE, CISA, BI, AWS, CFE, or ITIL
Deep knowledge of technical management, data center operations and data governance
Experience using cloud-based solutions, specifically Azure Data Warehouse and Azure Data Lake
Experience with Azure cloud data services including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks.
Experience working with all various aspects of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), database technologies, and tools, specifically SQL Server.
Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise ETL solutions between a wide variety of technology topologies.
Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI and R/Python;
Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Business, MBA, Economics, Finance, or Education or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 12 years prior relevant experience.
